Offensive Coodinator? (Posted on 12/5/12 at 9:05 am)
Someone mentioned this to me the other day, and I thought it was a bit crazy at first but now I'm not so sure; what about hiring Bobby Petrino as a coordinator? Still get the offense, possibly Ryan Timmons and James Quick (two previously Petrino committs), and give Petrino a chance to ease his way back in to football. Not to mention he's probably really reeling for a job now that Paul Petrino is a head coach of his own. Thoughts?

Is it obvious now that Brown is the OC target, but with some HC jobs showing interest in him, we are waiting to see how that shakes out? What are you hearing is the backup plan if Brown takes a HC job?

They're going to wait on Brown from what I've heard. They've been pretty tight lipped about Plan B if he ends up as a HC somewhere. But from all accounts if he doesn't get a HC job he'll be at UK as OC.

FWIW, he is bringing Schlarman (Tech's OLine coach who was with him at Kentucky and at Troy too) as well as Tech's RB coach Chad Scott (with him at Troy and a handful of NFL spots).
