I read until he said "He might be worse than Gene Chizik."

Because that is impossible.

"Arkansas took swings at LSU’s Les Miles, Super Bowl winner Jon Gruden and Boise State’s Chris Petersen. Tennessee went after Gruden as well and had serious talks with Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy.

The Razorbacks ended up with Wisconsin coach Bret Bielma, who is leading the Badgers back to the Rose Bowl for the third straight time. The Vols appear to be on the verge of landing Louisville coach Charlie Strong, a longtime Florida assistant who has the Cardinals heading to the Sugar Bowl in his third season.

And here’s Auburn – a program that you could argue has a higher standing in this league than either Tennessee or Arkansas – hiring a guy with no real experience, based more on personal relationships than professional accomplishments."

Is he a sports writer? I thought he wrote about liberal social political events.

The future... it be mysterious.

Look, he's entitled to opinion, but the SEC is very volatile is terms of coaching paradigms, especially in the West. Nobody can say at this point what is a good hire or a bad hire. If you were smart, the most you would say is that Auburn's offense will likely be very much improved but nobody knows how their future staff will handle game-to-game coaching.

If they think discipline is bad now, this is the guy who saw what M. Dyer did with pistol, spice 'n everything nice, but still wanted him on his team.

This is just more selling the soul to recruit players that think rules are for losers.

I bet the Lee County police force are shaking their head.

Discipline is my biggest concern with Malzahn and this example is the biggest reason why. He knew what Dyer had done to effectively be kicked off the team and he still toted him to ASU with him.
