Which last SEC football HC hire, at the time of the hire, involved a coach with as good as a resume as Bielema's is today?

That's not a good bowl record.

Sumlin. Won a conference as tough as the B1G and won the same number of bowls.

That Wisconsin team in 2006 was fricked in their bowl selection. I thought that only happened to us...

That was the year Ohio State and Michigan ran the table until their matchup at the end of November. Ohio State finished #1, Michigan finished #3. As per BCS rules, any team in the Top 3 goes to a BCS game. Only two teams from the same conference can go. Sucks but those are the rules.

35-17 in conference USA vs 68-24 in Big 10...

I don't think so.

That's right - I forgot about that. That was a logjam up there. Amazing to think the Big 10 used to be good.

C-USA the past few years has been tougher than the B1G.

2006 Wisconsin didn't play either Michigan or Ohio St. OSU went 11-0, Michigan was 10-1. Wisconsin didn't deserve better, much like UGA this year.

Indeed...but that conference was a paper tiger in 2006. USC blew Michigan out in the Rose Bowl and we all know what happened to Ohio State in the BCS National Championship.
