Linebacker from LaPorte. #1 player in Texas to the Ags for the 2nd straight year. Mack loses another head to had against Sumlin. Per twitter.

Great pickup but i don't think harvey is top 3, maybe top 5. Every website i've seen has tony brown and edward Paris ahead of Harvey. DOn't get me wrong, Harvey is a stud and will have a scholarship from every program. I'm surprised how good Sumlin is doing with defensive recruiting. A real good sign if your an A&M fan.

I went to that high school. Unfortunately haven't been back there in about 4 years so I haven't seen him play. But I've heard nothing but good things about him and from his film he looks damn good.

Hopefully he doesn't follow the trend most La Porte players had though from when I went there of getting in trouble and eventually getting kicked out (Quentin Castille at Nebraska)

truth is Sumlin I think is a defensive guy by nature, but at some point in his coaching career he was introduced to the spread and it took off from there, so really defense is his first love believe it or not. Aggies feel free to correct me if Im wrong.

He played LB at Purdue. I'm not sure about first love though.

A&M either already has commitments from or is the heavy favorite for 6 of the top 10 players in Texas for 2014.

It was Mike Price at Washington St. That taught Sumlin the "one back" offense ... Sumlin has expanded out into Air Raid principles ...

I kid. Congrats Ags you're on a roll. Enjoy it. You got yourselves a coach there.

Hoza Scott is without question the #1 recruit in Texas next year. It's not close.

Sumlin did start as a DC, but early on, some west coast coach asked him to learn his offense.. After that, it was all O.

Snider... from south florida.. This guy is legit. Our D was by far the biggest surprise besides Johnny. I really can't believe he has not had offers for a few head coaching jobs. He has done an amazing job for us.

I don't know a single site that thinks either of those guys is a better recruit than Scott.

Tony Brown and Scott are the two best players in Texas in 2014. Hands down.
