Especially impressive considering the dynamic offenses he's faced in the Big 10

Tons of dynamic offenses up in the Big 10. Oh yeah. Spread offenses. Slingin the ball around all over the place.
Oh wait.
Oh wait.

Would you have been happy with anyone?
We hired a dude with a 74% career winning percentage that has 3 Conference Titles and 3 BCS Bowl Appearances in 7 years.

That's still good for 3rd in the conference. Legit.

Yeah, I've been PRETTY fricking consistent with what would have made me happy:
Someone who could develop a QB - Houston Nutt, 10 years, no QB's developed, we sucked. Bobby Petrino, 4 years, 2 QBs developed, 2 of our best seasons ever including BCS games. Should be a no brainer. Ball control offense at Arkansas is fine, but we ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY MUST HAVE someone that can develop QBs. There are plenty of guys out there that have shown a shite ton more than BB has in that regard.
Familiarity to the South/TX: Self explanatory.
Those 2 things. Make the job easier, not harder. You don't go into Death Valley or Tuscaloosa and try to run the ball down their throats. Their athletes will fare better than ours more times than not (as long as Miles/Saban are in control). We can't play THEIR style of ball. They will do it better than us because they will always have better athletes, especially in the trenches.
