I don't know why you wouldn't be happy. Malzahn was my #2 choice behind Petrino. He would absolutely hold our recruiting class in tact and we'd bring in a stud QB in Jeremy Johnson next year who would start right away.

If it isn't Petrino then I absolutely want Malzahn. The way he turned around our offense was amazing. He is a control freak like Saban and Petrino and our program will turn around quickly.

His only year as a head coach he won a conference title
Reasons I absolutely don't want Malzahn:

1. Hasn't shown that he can develop anyone.
2. Shown that he isn't a great scout.
3. Recruited a bunch of sketchy players character-wise
4. Misses on QBs often.
5. Was part of the shitshow that AU has been outside of 2010

No thanks

Fwiw, Lb7 said Dye "may very well" get his guy. Doesn't sound like it's set in stone to me.

Where has this been reported? Not doubting you, but I have never read anything that talked about what kind of hc he was either way.

From talking to him, he does seem like a control freak/perfectionist. But thats just MO.

didn't arkansas state win like 10 games last year and win the sun belt last year as well?

I think so. And they were the preseason favorite to win it again this year -- even when replacing their head coach

I read it in an article. I don't remember which one but the quote went something like, "he doesn't care about boosters, administration, etc. The guy only wants to coach football."

Because LB7 if you ever have seen his posts doesn't frick around. He doesn't say concrete stuff and doesn't try and earn some E Cred he just informs people what he is hearing. He said in a later post that he is hearing Kirby Smart.

That's the thing... malzahn took over a pretty goo situation at Ark State, including a senior QB.

I'm not sold on Malzahn, but I think he'll be alright.

Jay Tate just confirmed that LB7 "isn't trolling" when another poster asked if he could be.

Supposedly they lost a ton of starters, but I can't confirm

I thought almost all the starters came back this past year.

I can't help but think that JJ was convinced that Smart will bring Alabama's process to Auburn. I don't particularly like all this.
