Unfortunately, my two worse candidates now seem to be the leaders and most likely next coach.

I have to vote for Malzhan, experience as a head coach (even for one year), plus experience at Auburn... Plus I do not want a young Bama assistant...

You said this 3 hours ago

quote:

We interviewed multiple candidates and selected the best football coach, he has extensive head coaching experience and his contract comes with a Harley.

(BTW: Rumor is that the deal with Jimbo fell through, he was trying to play hard ball between Auburn and UT (TIFWIW, do not ask for sources, etc.)

Now you're saying this.

I'm finding it harder and harder to believe your "sources"

I'm gonna f-ing punch a kitten if we end up with either of these!!!

If this is the caliber of head coach we pull, I'll be completely disappointed in Auburn.

who was the poster here that suggested a self imposed bowl band and reduction of two scholarships (Holland and Fraizer) to appease the NCAA?

Still laughing about that.

And allin, nothing personal, but your faith in jimbo througout this process lets me know you really don't have any informaiton on this search.

I've been skeptical for a while. It seems to be PM with some speculation sprinkled in. Kind of like BuccWildBammer used to do.

As I have said multiple times with regards to the next coach, I do not have any sources giving me any information... I did have information about Chizik getting fired and JJ staying and I stood by that... These are just my opinions...

I have felt for a while that Petrino was the fall back candidate, but it seems the Creed Thumpers are winning on that one.

ETA: Yes my info on Petrino not even getting an interview is coming from web-sites... Today is D Day people..

If it ends up being Smart to me it proves JJ has his nose firmly planted up Dye's ARSE.

I don't care, both would get their arse handed to them.

My AU football money would go towards a hunting lease next year. I will always pull for AU, but I'm not showing any more support than that for program that doesn't care about winning.
