Miles. Saban
63-16. 67-13. Record
2. 2. Conference Titles
1. 2. National Titles
3. 4. Head To Head
2. 3. BSC Title Games

* Since 07
If I was Miles I would make LSU pay me whatever Saban Makes. One could argue during this time, LSU has played a little stiffer Schedule as well. Both Schools Should be very proud, and it doesn't look to change anytime soon. to the next few years.

Well by comparison, Miles isn't as good as Saban, so why should he get paid as much?

Don't tell anyone though. If CLM gets his 6th 11 or more win season and a top 10 finish...he'll be fired immediately.

Next Head Hog Petersen is about to make us all forget about those two.

IMO I would pay the man what either wanted, As of now money is not a factor for either of these men. I wonder would Les entertain the thought of the NFL. I would highly doubt it, but I bet Les Could change a culture like Harbaugh has.

I think CLM is going to finish his contract at age 66 (I think) and retire. That would be a good age to.

great post btw, but this gem isn't even close to being up for debate. LSU schedule has been downright brutal period.

Miles basically sacrificed two seasons by kicking his dickhead quarterback off the team, too.

Alabama beat LSU both of those seasons. Would they have beaten them both years with RP? Who knows?

2008 LSU had an average defense, but was still capable of 10 wins with better quarterback play.

2009 LSU had national championship potential, but once again had below-average to average quarterback play.

Perrilloux was very solid. Would have been one of the top SEC quarterbacks those two years, IMO. That was a bad break, and Miles had his hands tied.

great post btw, but this isn't even close to being up for debate. In the last 6 seasons..

Total LSU:
Top 5- 12
Top 25- 31
Top 5 per season - 2
Top 25 per season- 5.16

Total Bama:
Top 5- 8
Top 25- 28
Top 5 per season - 1.3
Top 25 per season- 4.66

In the last 6 seasons, LSU has played 4 more top-5 opponents (the # of top-10 favors LSU much more.. by about 3-5 more games compared to top 5 I believe, but I'm lazy and it's too much typing).. and 4 more top-25 opponents. I used the final BCS poll for all rankings.

You've played Alabama 6 times when we were ranked in the top 5 since 08, that skews the stat.

LSU has been ranked in the top 5 three of those games, which also skews it.

The rankings I used were from the final BCS poll and has nothing to do with what a team was ranked when they played another team.

Yes but we've been ranked in the top five, five years at the end of the year since 07.Giving you five games against a top five team.

2008, 2009, 2011, 2011 NC, 2012

LSU has been ranked in the top 5 at the end of the year 3 years since 07, giving us 3 games against a top five team.

07, 2011, 2011 NC

Skews the stat a little that five of the twelve top five teams you've played since 07 were Alabama.
