Pitt is a very hot and cold team. Opened the season with a loss to Youngstown St, yet took ND to 3OT. Has gotten a lot better as the season has gone on. Average offense which is led by the passing game. Good defense on paper, #19 scoring defense and giving up just under 20 points a game.

Not the MCB but regardless, we made a bowl game

Prediction: 38-17.

Who all is going to the game?

I will be there. Their players are down for going to Bham for the 3rd straight year. We win by at least two TD's.

Wish I was going, I'm going to be stuck in DC then

Might buy a ticket or two through the University for the game though just to support them.

ETA: Yeah apparently their players are tweeting how dissapointed they are to be going to the BBVA bowl again. As long as we show up and play descent, it should be an easy win.

Honestly, we should crush Pitt and it feels good to be playing well and not have to play an SEC team.

Yeah their team plays this game every year, they aren't going to be as fired up. Their players were saying yesterday "anywhere but Birmingham" so that will help us out.

We better not take them lightly. They took Notre Dame to overtime.

Freeze will make sure the team is focused. Plus the team will want to send the seniors out with a bowl win.

We should win. Eyeballing their schedule they seem sporadic but they can play at a high level.

I have to see if my brother has Drill Duty (Army) that weekend. I hope he doesn't. I really want to make the 4 hour trip up there.

Ole Miss 35-13

I'll be at Legion Field, hopefully a good number of rebels show up. It would be nice if we took enough to people to fill both sides of stadium.

Anyone know what the capacity is there now without the upper decks?

Today, after the removal of the upper deck, Legion Field seats approximately 71,594 spectators.

I guess getting a total full house would be a bit out of reach, but it would be nice if we broke ticket sales record for the bowl. Maybe we can get around 40k rebels there or so...having the lower bowl all the way full would not look bad for Ole Miss.

The record is around 45K it looks like, I would think that number is within reach. I don't think Pitt will sell that many tickets since its the 3rd trip in a row, so if it gets broken or even close it will be mostly on the backs on rebel fans.

Hotty Toddy I had wished we were somewhere else but after reading some positives earlier about this bowl...close to the same time as UA AA game, limited tv competition on the day of the game & saturday january game ... I am quite excited and looking foward to being in Bham for the game
