I found myself thinking of how much better college football would be if they just let the best teams go to BCS bowls, but a friend pointed out an angle that I didn't really consider. If the SEC had 6 BCS teams this year, how much more money would the SEC collect vs other conferences? With more money and even more of the spotlight, the gap between the SEC and the rest would just increase even further. Would the trend eventually die out or would the SEC eventually become all that exists in college football pretty much? What are yalls thoughts on this

The level of hatred directed at this conference would be amazing.

1. 4 team playoff won't change the OP's rant
2. Being in the SEC has it's advantages and disadvantages. You get the benefit of the doubt 9 times out of 10 when compared to other teams in other conferences.
3. Stop crying or join the frickin BIg East

I think you have the right of it.

How do you think this will translate with the playoff system?

I'm assuming the playoff games bring in equal amounts of money as the bowls once did so does this affect the way the voters vote to allow equal representation of each conference in the top 4 or 8 or however many teams are included?

It's quite possible that this years playoff included 3 SEC teams & ND

Even if your other major football conferences/dynasties merged, the SEC has so much momentum added to being somewhat geographically concentrated to an extent to make it near impossible..
A good gauge will be to see how many fair-weather Texas fans convert to Aggies..
