Apparently nobody in the bunker does either. I didn't know we had so many idiots in our fan base.

I think even Petrino knows the Ark level defense he had won't cut it at AU.

When he won the Big East at Louisville, they has the 17th ranked scoring D in 2006.

But with the lack of talent we have on D, it is at least a two year rebuild job on that side of the ball.

Go back and look. The fact he couldnt beat Saban isnt going to change just because you really want him to come to Auburn.

Much better than getting blown out in every conference game like Eugene managed to do.

Yes it is. I am for Petrino by the way. He can probably have better defenses here than at Arky due to recruiting.

The losing to Saban argument is stupid.

There are basically 4 kinds of coaches

1. Those who have lost to Saban
2. Those who have not played Saban much
3. Les Miles
4. Tommy Tuberville.

I don't think CLM or CTT are interested.

I think he will as well, plus he has BVG sitting there already in Auburn.

That's not really fair. If these players are really as bad as they've played, a lot schools were wrong in their assessments.

So if Mallett doesn't throw a pick at the end of the game they lost 24-20 versus Bama and they win, Petrino would suddenly be a good coach capable of going toe to toe with Saban?

The idiocy posted on this board is astounding.

Alot of school like who? Who they hell recruited Jon Evans, Daren Bates, JewFro Holland, D McNeal, Ken Carter, Mincy,, Ryan Smith, Ryan White, the list goes on. There are some bust like Craig Sanders who others wanted. But overall the D is not filled with highly recruited players.

Yea with a team that Nutt decimated, there isn't a more capable candidate of going head to head with both Miles and Saban than Petrino.

So you wouldn't want Urban Meyer either? He beat Saban once, but was blown out the other 2 times

Alright, so you can pick out a few of the player who didn't have an Alabama offer, great. It remains, we've got players. Need discipline.
