its a good thing Georgia fell short again, because if they had won I could see them getting their face blown off by the Irish in front of a national audience. For Richt to act surprised people question his big game management and embarrassing losses on the big stage is hilarious.

So you rooting for Bama to win another championship? What kind of a clueless LSU fan are you?

This game is not a good example. He didn't mismanage it or get embarrassed.

As Mark May noted on College Football Final, the reporter asked the question wrong.

Had the question been about Richt's record — 2-10 — against Top 10 teams, then the coach would've had to answer it. But the wording of the inquiry allowed Richt to get away with becoming self-righteously indignant.

True, good post genro. While I think they should have spiked it, I see why they kept it going. Bonehead throw by Murray that got tipped and even more bone head play by the receiver that caught it. Clear end zone shot or throw it through the end zone. That's lack of execution not coaching.

Ummmmm ... you must not have been watching the game when Murray was signaling the sidelines to spike the ball and he was called-off by the sideline and told to run the play that was being sent-in.

The only bonehead thing Murray did was do as he was instructed. He should have flipped them the one finger salute and then spiked the frickin' ball like he knew needed to be done.

Ummm I'm talking about the throw, did Richt throw the pass? That pass wouldn't have been a TD had it not been tipped. I just don't get why Uga fans want to blame Richt for everything.

I saw this too and I honestly couldn't believe the coaches were telling him to run a play instead of clocking it. I guess they figured they had Bama's D on the ropes and shouldn't let them regroup.

he wasn't talking about this game.

I felt the same way. If ga won, they'd probably lose to Notre dame even though they shouldn't. That's what op was saying.

It was a great game. Georgia has a heck of a team. I'd rather play Notre Dame than Georgia, LSU or Texas A&M again. That's just life in the SEC. Alabama survived.

I agree with this. The reporter was afraid to say he felt Richt had trouble in big games.

His instincts took over, he couldn't know how much time was left.

I love watching bama lose but I want the SEC championship trend to keep going. Honestly, if georgia would have slipped in Richt and company would have found a way to allow the football world and media gloat how Notre Dame is the best team ever and ended the SEC's winning streak.
