This whole BSC thing is so screwed up, I'm losing interest in college football. The four team playoff won't be much better. Unless they somehow expand it to an eight team playoff, I just don't see things improving much. I mean, for LSU to play some lousy team in some garbage bowl is just a travesty. LSU could win any playoff and should still be in the hunt.

I think four is enough. You still will have to deal with the #9 and #10 team complaining about not getting in. IMO Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, UGA, and South Carolina all could be considered BCS champ caliber teams.

40-50 years ago LSU may not get in a bowl. What we have now is soooo much better. Enjoy it.
We benefited in a year when 2 losses got us in a NCG game, now are in a year when two losses don't get us in a BCS game. It is what it is, and it's fun as hell.

As long as LSU was going to the BCS and top bowls, the system was fine. Now that LSU is having down years and Bama is having goods years, the system is broke. Sure...

I think most would agree that a new system would make it more fair, but this certainly aint the year that makes it so unfair that a change is needed now.

Before the plethora of bowls and TV outlets...true. There's currently 35(?) bowls which is about 15-20 too many. In addition, before BCS contracts they used to invite teams in mid-November which made for some Gawd awful matchups. Gotta take the bad with the good.

I gotta tell you, when they blocked that FG and scored a TD, it was feeling like a loss and I was rather ambivalent about that. I felt like we were vulnerable this year--three teams took us to the wire, one closed the deal. And maybe it just wasn't our year, you take the good with the bad, yadda yadda yadda.
And I think that's how I'll feel about the NC. I think we're probably better than ND. And if we win it will be great, and if we don't, it'll suck. Win or lose, it's been a hell of a ride and I'm enjoying it.
I'm proud of those boys who probably had a little more belief than I did at 21-10.
