ESPN's Brad Edwards BCS Bowl Predictions

BCS Championship: Notre Dame vs. Alabama
Rose Bowl: Stanford vs. Wisconsin
Fiesta Bowl: Kansas State vs. Oregon
Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Oklahoma
Orange Bowl: Florida State vs. Louisville
My question is... why is Florida going to the Sugar instead of Georgia? Same record, Georgia beat Florida, and Georgia played a hell of a game in the SEC Championship.

Wrong.
11-2 Georgia isn't the same as 11-1 Florida.

Fla and Ga don't have same record.

Florida is 11-1
Georgia is 11-2
Georgia is 11-2

Not anymore.
But yes, I get the argument.
Life isn't fair.
All depends on how far Georgia drops in the polls.
They may stay ahead of Florida after all.

Wrong. 11-2 Georgia isn't the same as 11-1 Florida.
Georgia shouldn't be penalized for playing an extra game that Florida didn't even get to.

LSU lost the SECCG in 2005 and we dropped all the way to the Peach Bowl.
Fast forward and now the SEC is politicking to get uga in the cotton bowl and bump LSU down.

Saban said it himself "it'll be a crying shame if Georgia doesn't go to a bcs bowl"

Don't think there is really any question about these picks. Gonna be some good games. Boise or NIU will probably finish at 17th and just outside the picture.

Georgia deserves to be in a BCS game over Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Louisville... arguably Florida State and Stanford too.
Georgia is gonna get screwed just like Mizzou did in 2007.

And he's right. Funny how that when he made similar comments earlier in the week, LSU fans yapped about him being a hypocrite. Yet Saban argued just as passionately for Georgia tonight after the game.

1) they will be ranked #3 so they are an automatic qualifier
2) (aside from the fact that #1 trumps anything else I could say)they played a much tougher schedule and have a better record.

Yeah, the runner-up usually always gets screwed.

LSU fans called him a hypocrite becasue he basically said he didn't like the fact that Florida could play in the NCG if ND had lost to USC.

I would have gladly taken Georgia's place in having a 'chance' to beat Bama in the SECCG.
