Apparently it's more than that. Evidently, the search committee is required to adhere to the BCA's standards to get a passing grade. The A&M committee basically told them "frick you, you racist pieces of shite, we're going to hire the best man for the job".

LSU and another school got the same thing when they did the basketball survey. Both LSU and the other school hired black coaches for basketball.

That article is fricking hilarious. Basically the BCA just completely discredits itself.
They are basically saying, we don't really care if you hire a black coach (isn't that supposed to be a huge part of their ultimate goal?), if you don't talk to US and do it OUR way, you fail. It's about the BCA and how important WE are that matters, not whether you hire a black coach. Talking to the BCA at least two times on the phone is what really matters here!
