UGA having the best defense in the country is laughable

don't mind the "harder" schedule. I mind the purposeful manipulation of Alabama's schedule by the SEC to position them for greater success.
do you realize that there have been years when Tennessee was like REALLY good? we have played in Athens and in Gainesville many times. This year we didnt. There will be times when LSU has the easier schedule. Thats just football man. Yall had the national championship in your backyard at night and blew it. and if you say alabama did that last year, you would be right. By losing that game you lose control of your destiny and sometimes things go your way, sometimes they dont. see LSU 2007

USCe had a better argument last year, when they beat UGA, only to lose to a west team while Georgia cruised on an "easier" schedule.

This year, the division winners beat the runners up head to head, so the schedule argument doesn't carry as much weight.

what does this have to do with LSU losing the West heads up at home in death velley against Bama?

So you're saying you're absolutely positive Bama would win a game @USC, @UGA, or @UF this year with no chance of a loss?

Head to head isn't the only determining factor of who wins the west. That said, please explain why you think you should go to the SECCG over Texas A&M then?

I think you read more into that than what is actually there. These permanent opponents were set up decades ago to protect rivalries. Even when TN was thumping Bama we didn't want to give that game up. Now with the new teams joining dropped GA from our schedule which is actually a game I like and would prefer to Ky next year but all of the AD I think voted on these schedules. I like Sabans idea of. One division games because I don't want to we're GA or Florida every 4 yrs or whatever it turns out to be.

no its not. if we would have finished behind TAMU i would have no excuse. What about years when LSU had an easier schedule and made it to a championship because we played a top 5 tennessee and or florida? Did you complain then? Im conceding we had the easier road but those are the years you MUST capitalize. Man thats ALL sports. LSU and BAma are identical squads. maybe it helped TAMU that they saw a top defense before they played us? who knows...but it doesnt matter. You had a shot even with schedule discrepancy but lost.

He stays on this. I think as soon as he enters the Rant page, he searches UGA, Richt, defense so he can consistently poke and prod UGA fans into an argument and then call UGA fans defensive. We just have to learn to live with it, I suppose.

I have no problem with the permanent opponents. UT had an amazing run (though they've been down a good 15 years now). I have a problem with THIS years deliberate manipulation of the schedule to better position the SEC's "premiere" teams for a BCS national title run. Convenient that both teams that had each other rotated off of each of their schedules for no particular reason both made it to the championship game.

We have no argument this year. We barely had an argument last year. We shouldn't have lost to auburn.

This year we got destroyed by Florida. We don't deserve to be in Atlanta. That being said, I do feel like we have a better team than them. But they got to Atlanta and we didn't. Tough shite.

But them having a better defense is downright laughable.

You mean like Bama did last year?

What's your point?

Did you make the effin schedule?

It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault, Will.

You don't HAVE TO defend the indefensible.

Facts are what they are. Enjoy the moment. Alabama gets the opportunity to have more moments than LSU does. It is what it is.

BTW, the comment about nobody complaining when Florida was down is as ignorant as it gets. Florida beat LSU with the almighty at the helm in Baton Rouge, when Nick had a championship team.

Tennessee had Peyton fricking Manning at QB, and lost to Florida four years in a row. You're an idiot if you think these programs are ever going to even out.

And if the games had been played as originally scheduled, one of these two teams wouldn't be going to ATL.

That pretty much puts a nail in this one.

Speechless.
