He will surprise all these detractors. He will be a stud and playmaker in the NFL .he has great football instincts that you can't teach. 3rd round steal for someone. Hopefully the saints

You are stupid. NFL doesn't really care about weed. They understand that there are ma.y players that smoke it.

That would be the worst scenario for Tyrann. All of the little hellions he hangs around with will be around him all the time influencing him poorly.

No matter where Mathieu gets drafted he will do the exact same thing in the NFL as he did in college:

Take the ball.

With everything that's happened to him I serious doubt he will be drafted.

Teams would rather not deal with all that nowadays.

I honestly am not the biggest fan of Mathieu as a person, but the kid can ball. So maybe he's 5'8" and only 170 lbs, but he'll pack on some weight.

Troy Polamalu is only 5'10" and might weigh 200 lbs.

I just don't get this

He will fit right in with the rest of the thugs

How is he a thug?

It's whatever. He made poor choices as a kid in college, but a thug? It's whatever. I wish him the best.

All the folks saying he'll go undrafted don't understand the NFL. This kid is amazingly marketable and very accomplished at the highest level of collegiate competition.

We're talking about a kid who likes to smoke weed. It's not like he's beating up women like Lawrence Phillips or toting a gun in a nightclub like Plaxico. As long as Mathieu doesn't completely blow the combine, he'll get drafted on potential alone. At the very least, he could make a roster as an excellent gunner.

I think his lack of cover skills is a bigger issue than his size.

I think he'll be drafted as a project. He could see plenty of ST play as a rookie maybe but he isn't going to be playing CB anytime soon. Guy cannot cover.

He could move to FS with some good coaching. Maybe. Depends on the system.

I wouldnt chance it. Weed is one thing, but drafting a guy who has moved onto heroine is a dangerous proposition.
