The word from my father is he will most likely be looking at a yearly PSL to purchase his season tickets. He thinks his buddy at LSU told him it's $5000 annually per seat there (not confirmed). Since my father holds 4 seats, this would be $20K annually before paying for the season tickets. I could have the wrong info. Correct me if you know the facts.

This stadium expansion is expensive Aggies. Prepare your wallet if you want to continue holding season tickets.

What is your schools PSL fee?

I'm pretty sure most schools make you contribute before you can buy tickets. That 5,000 per seat is way way wrong, unless he's in a sky box or something. He probably contributes 5,000 total per year for all of his seats.

At UGA, I believe the minimum donation is $250 per seat, but that's for the absolute nosebleeds. Even then, due to demand you still might not get tickets. After the 2007 season the minimum combined point (1 point = $1 you've given lifetime) total to get season tickets in 2008 was over 10,000.

Do you mean the donation, in order to purchase the tickets?

Auburns start at 250 per and go up from there depending on where you want to sit

Welcome to the SEC

SEC sports tickets are the new country clubs

#1 Huge initiation fee
#2 Heavy annual dues
#3 Charge when you go there for entertainment / dinner

Rupp is ancient and they sell seats like they just built it and have all that debt to pay off. That is just for basketball.

Yes. Minimum contribution at State is 5 large but not per seat. You pay $5000 and get your points to qualify for season ticket requests.

It could be a donation that counts as well. I will check into it. Dad contributes to the 12th Man Foundation and would probably divert funds, to the detriment of the foundation. More details as I get them.

So you're telling me that every single season ticket holder at an MSU home game has contributed $5,000 just that year? That doesn't sound correct.

I think he's trying to say that in order to get season tickets, you pay $5000 initially. After that there's a much smaller yearly donation. That's how it is at Alabama at least.

Correct

They do it by seat level yearly, i.e. $200 level, $300 level, $400 level, $500 level per seat.

Well their website states it starts out at $75 per seat then goes up to $1500 for club level

Aaaah gotcha. That makes a lot more sense.

At UGA you don't have to pay any sort of down payment, just the minimum required per seat (whatever section your seat is in adjusts the minimum) and your points build up. The minimum total (over your lifetime) points to get tickets varies year to year based on demand, but once you get em you're good to go.

Something really shitty that we used to have (not sure if it's still around) was that once you started donating, you had to keep donating the same amount of money (or higher) every year. If you couldn't afford to contribute one year, your point total reset to 0 and you lost your tickets.

This thread made me look up Ole Miss' giving requirements.Ours start at $800 with $350 yearly donation for benchback. Then you have to still buy the tickets at $375 a piece. And the way we do it is you get 1 point for every $100 plus 1 point per ticket. And here are the rankings for the priority seating.
Donor Rank Total Priority Points
#50 3,443
#100 2,400
#200 1,647
#350 1,176
#500 933
#750 713
#1,000 559
#2,000 248
#3,000 142
#4,000 90
#5,000 58
#6,000 37
#7,000 23
#8,000 12
#9,000 5

Its probably still that way. It is at Alabama, anyway. You MUST pay value of tickets + yearly donation or you're kicked out in cold.

Eh, it's usually cheaper to buy season tickets on stubhub or something.

Okay, stubhub is not new to me, but 'season' tickets? Do tell.

I dont know if you can do it on Stubhub, but its common for season ticket holders to put up their whole season on eBay. You're basically just buying 8 individual game tix, as the seller will retain the seats for the next year.

Not a very clear post.

If you're talking about A&M, there is no "PSL", as such, but there is a minimum donation level to get new seats in a section (established season ticket holders may have a lower donation--sometimes a lot lower, or even no donation for the few permanently endowed seats from 20+ years ago).

Here is the chart for Kyle Field:

With the stadium renovation, I expect the chart to look a little different. Second deck will likely turn into club seating, and first deck will probably be renovated to suit armchair seats at a much higher donation level than currently in place. Folks who don't want to pay the going rates for those areas will find themselves shifted to parts of the stadium equivalent to their donation level, based on the priority points system.
