I know this may belong on the rant, but this has been an SEC hot topic for years so thought I would share and get your honest opinions.....found this on TOS. I would think this should make any fan base happy. All others need their heads examined.

quote:

Miles has the best 7 year record of any Coach in the Country at one school; Brilliant with "X's" and "o's" in relationship to the talent;(some will critizize Miles by micromanaging every play call, but few glorified Miles for his strategy and Preparation to beat Oregon last year);
-won the Sugar Bowl
-He has played in three SECCG( only one he lost was his first year when Katrina hit)
-Has won 2 SEC championships;
-played in two NC's
-Has won 1 NC
-Has a winning Bowl record;
-Has brought LSU and its program to a different level than previously;
- Has mastered and sold himself as the National Coach that the media loves and this in turn helps promote the University;

-only lost one OOC game (sick)
-Coaches and players are motivated by Miles;
-Has recruited very well and nationally. Has an ability to spot talent that others miss;
-Has run a clean NCAA program
-Has produced and trained successful NFL talent;
-Has LSU playing on national television weekly;
-Has lined up the toughest playing schedule in the country and will play anybody;
-And balances his professional life with a good family life.

- oh yeah, and has won over 80%of his games

He's a good coach and obviously wins, but I'm glad he's not our coach.

According to the AJC, if you lose games you're overrated. Saban has lost some games, he's overrated. Miles has lost some games, he's overrated.

I like Miles. He is great at LSU but if Saban left and Miles was available he might not be my first choice but Alabama ould do worse. I just don't see him having the same success at Bama that he has had at LSU. My choice would be a Gundy type coach with a great defensive coordinator

That's right Buckeye.... You don't want that coach that beat your arse in the Superdome for the NC

Trust me, Miles was without a doubt one of the reasons CUM bolted for your weak arse conference.
