What do you need to see to be supportive in bringing Pinkel back in 2014?

Is there a record or certain benchmarks that we need to hit for you to be happy bringing him back?

We have had it clarified that there are no staff changes, and we know what we are dealing with going into next year. That being said I think we need to hit 8-4 minimum. We cant just keep limping into low level bowl games. That should not be the ultimate goal. I would also like to see a Top 20 recruiting class and Yost relieved of playcalling duties. Coach needs to handle them himself. But those later two are not as important as the record. 8-4 record and competitive in losses.

Better football.

I'm not as concerned with the 5-7 as the way we got there. We looked awful more than we looked competent.

I want 8-4, too. But I'd be ok (probably) with a record that wasn't as good as long as the product on the field looked competitive against good competition.

8-4 is the absolute minimum acceptable for next year. With the schedule, if GP wants to show he is a real coach, 10-2 is where MU should be at the end of the regular season.

1. 9-3 should be sought. Anything below 8-4 with our schedule is another utter failure.
2. As you say, break the top 20 in recruiting.
3. I'm not a fan of the spread at all but I know they're not going to scrap it so I'll go with Yost no longer calling plays, designing our system.
4. Develop a snapper.
5. No more trailing 42-0 in any games.
6. Tighten up the D. No more "We'll give you 8 yards a play mentality."
7. Don't make it just lip service when you say the QB spot is an open competition.
8. Find a kicker.
9. Don't pull a Tony Larussa and think you're the only one that gets something. There is a reason other coaches don't ice their own kicker or call for the wildcat 3 plays in a row or go for a fake punt on 4th and 11 late in a game deep in your own end when your longest run of the day wouldn't have gotten the 1st down. In other words, play some Old Man Football!!!

If you're putting a good product on the field and playing at the levels we now expect, you don't lose any of the OOC games, nor to UK, UT, Vandy or Ole Miss and you sure as hell better have a better showing against JFF at home. I agree with the whoever said the expectation is that you steal one of the other games next year too. UF, USCe and A&M all at home next year. Georgia away....well just don't shite the bed, be competitive.

vs. Murray State. W
vs. Toledo W
@ Indiana W
@ Vanderbilt W
@ Georgia L needs to be competitive
vs. Florida L needs to be competitive
vs. South Carolina W without lattimore and new Qb this is something that can happen
vs. Tennessee W
@ Kentucky W
@ Ole Miss W
vs. Texas A&M wildcard game. If the season goes like that, as long as they are competitive against what will be a better A&M team I will be happy. The run of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina can go either way but it would be great to pull AT LEASE one out. 2 would be awesome. But be competitive in ALL games. No blowouts. And beat the teams you are SUPPOSED to beat.

I hear that the 808 kick drum makes the homies get dumb. Do you find this to be the case?

I'll always be active, inactively.

I'll always donate my money, I'll ways wear my Mizzou shite in public, I'll always support the Tigers.

To support them on this forum...

I need to feel like we're not going to be embarrassed by teams like Vandy, UCF, and Syracuse.

I need to feel like we'll beat a Top 6 team besides Tennessee with a new coach.

I need to feel like we'll make an impact in the division race.

I don't think I'm unreasonable.

I feel like we, as a fanbase, need to stop giving shitty threads for people to bump to make us look like assholes.

Kills is fine, he's understood to be a troll. Even then, people get all fricked up.

I'm drunk and lost interest in this post. I hope you get it.

Given the schedule next year it needs to be 10-2 or 9-3, and it needs to be a good 10-2/9-3. None of this we looked like a shite sandwich but still won the game nonsense. Discipline, defense, and GREAT play calling.

Lets see Pinkel act like he actually gives a shite.

I'm happy with 10-2 or 9-3 regardless. (or irregardless if you're our Chancellor)

Pinkel could sit on a bench and shite his pants every game and I'd be happy with that record.

Winning is winning.

He did that all year this year and it only got us 5 wins.

Let me preface this by saying that I am likely the cheapest person you'll ever meet in your life.

There is certainly a ratio of price to alcohol content to (sometimes) calories that I take into account when drinking.

Tonight, I wanted to get a buzz. I didn't care about anything other than that. Tonight, Miller Lite is the drink of choice.

Some nights, I want to appreciate a beer. In that case, price and calories don't usually come into account. These are my favorite nights. On these nights, I hit my kegerator of Goose Island Honkers Ale (which I actually special order through my local distributor).

The key is to fight the urge to drink your high dollar beer because it's there on a night when you just want to get drunk.

In my opinion, the key to being a good beer guy is to realize when you need to drink shitty beer, especially when calorie content comes into the equation.

And that's my story.

I'm unhappy.

Still willing to give him another shot to not shite his pants.

Next year, if the results are similar, I'll have a different opinion.

ETA: if we'd have won 3-4 games this year, I'd be calling for his head. We were in a lot of the games we lost.

I can agree with what you've stated here.

Add that I'd like to see that killer instict when facing opponents. It seems like this team gets lazy when it comes to being able to put teams away. This last season is a good example. Drive that stake in the heart. Expect to win, stop talking about how great other teams are and talk expected wins for your own team.

Lol. Makes perfect sense. I drink shitty beer when I know there will be high consumption, or if I'm going to a friends house who drinks shitty beer.

The important thing here is that we introduced TB to the beauty of Jumbo. Jumbo will sweep through Mizzou Nation. It's just a matter of time my friend....

I like this guy. So I take it you are not cool with a 7-5 Indy Bowl birth?
