Oregon's only loss would been to a much better team than bama's loss? Wasn't that bama's whole point of jumping Okie St to #2 last year?

For the simple fact that the BCS and the network are in a fap frenzy at the idea of a Bama vs. ND final.

Bama would still have 12 wins....Oregon would only have 11.
Last year was different, OKST didn't have a CC title game so both teams had 11 wins

Cuz they're not playing Stanford?

Because no one in the Harris Poll or Coaches Poll thinks Oregon is better than Bama

Like Florida, that loss cost them the division and the opportunity to win the conference.

Are you talking about next year's schedule?
Derp!

How is losing to a top 10 team with 2 losses at home a much better loss than losing to a top 10 team with 2 losses at home?

11-2 Stanford vs 10-2 A&M is exactly the same as 12-0 LSU vs 6-6 Iowa State

bama's loss cost them the division last year

When does this mystical game you speak of take place?

This post is more stupid than Larry, Mo and Curley put together.

Good point. The massive difference between this year's Top 10 Stanford and Texas A&M teams perfectly mirrors the difference between 13-0 LSU and 6-6 Iowa St last year.

Because they would have no wins over top 10 teams.

The difference is that Alabama's loss didn't take them out of contention for their conference title, Oregon's did.
You are not likely to see a team that didn't win it's conference overtake a team with a better or similar record that won its conference after what happened last year.

OP is actually suggesting that since 1 year ago an 11-1 team went over an 11-1 team......then this year a 11-1 team should go over a 12-1 team.
