Among the other four teams, Notre Dame would be:

— 8½-point underdog to No. 2 Alabama.
— 4-point underdog to No. 3 Georgia.
— Pick’em with No. 7 LSU
— 3–point underdog to No. 9 Texas A&M

From Bruce Feldman's twitter:

Notre Dame would be an underdog vs 5 SEC teams (Bama -9.5); UGA (-3); UF (-1.5); LSU (-3); A&M (-3.5), per Bovada

Bovada had them as 3pt dog to LSU. They had them as the dog to 5 SEC schools.

notre dame is about to get skull fricked in the championship game and it doesn't matter who they play.

I will risk foreclosure and bet several mortgage payments on whomever eventually faces Notre Dame.

If this makes me a bad Catholic, then so be it.

someone doesn't know the definition of risk.

But really. The only legit player on notre dames team is that linebacker they have, Te'o or whatever. Dude is a freak of nature, stop him and you stop notre dame though.

Why would they carry these meaningless bets, since these events have ZERO chance happening? Vegas can have them as 1000 point underdog and still won't lose or win a dime.

It's bullshite, whatever the author of that stupid article wants them to be to "prove" his point. Anything that makes readers happy

.. Oh and /thread

Georgia vs ranked non-conference opponents

2011 (0-2)
Boise State L 35-21
Michigan State L 33-30

2010 (0-1)
UCF L 10-7

2009 (1-1)
Oklahoma State L 24-10
Georgia tech W 30-24

2008 (1-1)
Georgia Tech L 45-42
Michigan State W 24-12

So going back 4 years their record vs ranked non conference opponents are 2-5. The teams they lose to were average for the most part. This isn't taking into account the pathetic performance against West Virginia in the Sugar Bowl. Richt struggles against non-conference teams, I don't get the certainty that UGA would win if they faced ND.

Edit: Important to know he is 1-3 in games after a long layoff.

Has to do with Richt not being able to win after a long layoff. He is 1-3 in layoff games.

Bama and UGA are going to tear each other to pieces for the opportunity to murder ND. I'm happy for the month off cause we'll need it to heal. Then its a slam dunk on ND for the trophy.

Saban is generally good with a long layoff and, with the exception of Utah, win the games they are suppose to. Richt is bad with long layoffs and has a tendency of having his teams choke. I give Georgia a good chance to beat Bama ND would be anOther story.

This^^^^^^^^^^^ While I think the SECCG will be a close one. Give it a month layoff and I'd bet the house on Bama -14.

I would say Bama by -17 but wouldn't use that as a line. I think if Bama wins the line will get up to -13 by kickoff.

7-5 ATS this year, so they have hardly been overrated. If anything their defense is underrated (games went under 10 times this year) or I suppose SEC fans would argue their offense is overrated .

Covers.com has ND UGA at roughly even, so there is a ton of value in the UGA line at linesmaker depending on which team you think will win/cover.

Yeah, those 11 combined tackles he had against Wake Forest and USC were gamechangers. His own teammate has better numbers than he does. Dude is the definition of an over-rated media concoction.
