Okay, I've seen Notre Dame play this year. I agree that week in and out, this team would have issues in the SEC but to think Bama or UGA would stomp them is nuts. This team has some players and their lines are very good and physical. This team went into Norman, OK and soundly beat a very good OK sooner team when no one gave them a chance...This Irish team is for real folks and I wouldn't be the least surprised if they win it all no matter who they play!!

I agree and do not think either blows out ND. I think UGA would have a better chance than bama since UGA is a better passing team and ND can stuff the run, but struggles more against the pass.

They could beat UGA, but not Bama. Their front is stout and would consistently beat dominate the UGA offensive line. They are pretty much Mississippi State at all other units though.

Lot of people thinks they would have an easier time beating bama. ESPN analysts were taking that position on Mike and Mike this morning. UGA has a more athletic defense than bama and can throw the ball better which is ND's weakness on D.

I agree, Notre Dame may have the best Defence of any team that has faced the SEC in the Championship Games during the streak.

Even before Oregon and KSU lost I always felt The Irish would give an SEC Team the most trouble for that reason.

ND just isn't the kind of team that is going to get blown out. They play too good on defense and they protect the ball.

You definitely have to grind out / earn a victory against that kind of team.

Plus, their QB is starting to play much better so now their offense doesn't look like such a liability. Earlier in the year, it looked like ND would probably get shut out, held under 10 points for sure, against the better SEC defenses. Now, they look like they will be able to put up some points to help their defense.

I do think UGA or Bama would beat them, but both would be hard fought games.

Kinda what I think. 21-17 type of game.

I agree that it might not be a "blow out", but that doesn't mean Bama or UGA wouldn't dominate the game. The score board might not reflect just how bad ND would get dominated by either team.

No way in hell ND stops Bama on the 1 yrd line with four downs to get a TD. No way in hell. Not with Bama's o-line and Lacy.

ND might have a good defensive front, but they have not seen anything like what they would face against Bama's o-line.

Murray leads the conference in passer rating. He is definitely a better passer than AJ.

AJ is literally right behind him. They have also had a lot more closer games where they passed a whole lot more than us. I would take AJ over Murray any day.

They will if Bama passes all 4 times.

Its going to be up to the play calling. Screw it up and gold dome win it all.

Murray hasn't played the 4th qtr since Florida.

You are so mad it's comical.

25 touchdowns and 2 interceptions
30 touchdowns and 7 interceptions

AJ with a better completion % and murray with a higher rating by 0.8 points. It doesn't take a talent scout to tell you who's had a better year throwing the football. Murray had more INT's against florida than AJ has on the year

44 touchdowns and 7 interceptions for AJ in his career. If you're keeping count, his career INT total = murrays season INT total

ND is a team that has been inconsistent all season. They likely would not have made it through a tougher schedule unscathed.

With that said, they have some very good players, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and are well-coached. In a one game scenario, I do not think they get blown out like many are predicting, and I honestly can see them winning.

I think they are good.

I also think they would beat LSU. Prior to Friday, I didn't necessarily believe this.

ND knows how to finish a game.

A horrible USC team with a QB making his 1st start gave ND a game. ND is horrible and will get beat by Bama by atleast 3 TDs. 34 to 10 is probably likely.

They could beat UGA cause Murray will probably gift them a couple of scores and UGA won't be able to run on them.

OP is nuts if he thinks that beating Oklahoma means that ND can beat the SEC champs.

ND needed a huge gift from the referees to beat Pittsburgh

It is Ohio State Miami revisted. Everyone thought that Ohio State who had barely won their games was going to be destroyed by Miami.

Now it is Notre Dame vs SEC Champ and everyone thinks the SEC champ is going to power drive ND.
