Will the longhorns dodge the Aggies?

While I generally despise both fanbases, I think aTm v. Tejas in the Cotton Bowl would be one hell of a match up. I have heard many rumblings that the powers at be in Tejas won;t let this happen.
How do Aggie fans feel about "big brother" trying to dodge ya to preserve the eternal scoreboard? And what is the word around College Station about the possibility of the match-up?

Texas doesnt want any part of the Aggs imo so if they can they will dodge.

Pussies.
I don't see how one can logically argue otherwise.

its known within the Cotton Bowl committee that they are not going to give TAMU the satisfaction of being on that stage and embarrassing a Big XII team, especially Texas...

Tha University of Tejas is manginas. They wanted no part of the SEC to begin with and Ole Macky Brown wets himself when he see's Johnny Football geting loose.
Cotton Bowl
TX A&M-48
Tejas-10

I've heard they will dodge, but I think Texas shouldn't, some UT fans I think actually want to play TAMU while others think they would get killed. I think A&M would likely beat them, but you never know what could happen after a month off.

I'd love to see A&M whip the shite out of Texas in the Cotton Bowl. I hope they play each other.

Does Jerry have any say in the match-up? Does he have ties to either school, or even texas as a state besides the cowboys? I have to figure that it would be one of the best bowl games of the season, a hell of a lot better than most of the BCS bowls.

No he played college ball at Arkansas.

What from Mack Brown and his staff has given you the impression that they have the ability to properly gameplan for anyone other than "out-athlete" the other team?

The history would make it a great match up but the game itself wouldn't be close.

No more than Tom Benson has say with the Sugar Bowl Committee...
TAMU and Texas will generate less revenue than bringing in an out of state team...
think of a bowl game in NOLA that featured LSU and ULL....not a whole lot of 3 night hotel stays and eating out...same with an all Texas Cotton Bowl..
and out of State SEC team would generate TONS more revenue

UT/A&M will not happen in the Cotton Bowl.
UT is scared.

I without a doubt give A&M the edge, but unforeseen circumstances could certainly play a role, that's why we play the game don't we?

As well they should be. With the confidence aTm is playing with right now from having success in the SEC and the hate they have for UT, they might beat them by 70+ points.

AD powers that be at U of Texas at Austin are pussies, there's no serious dispute about that.

and THAT is the exact reason that the Cotton Bowl execs will not let Texas face TAMU....
Cotton Bowl will be..
TAMU vs OU..
Texas vs LSU

Texas has a full off-season plate ahead of them with their likely coaching vacancy and if they end up matched up against A&M, whew that would be mayhem in that neck of the woods. Maybe they'll secure a coach sooner than people think, but I don't see that being likely considering the available candidates.

frick THE LONGHORNS. You're in the SEC now. No need to start threads about those irrelevant douchbags.
