11-1 after most of us thought an 8 or maybe even 9 win season would be great. In fact, if you are all like me, you are a little let down that we aren't going to the MNCG and that UGA loss still hurts because we all believe we had that one too with just a little better play.

I was mulling that over and had to laugh a little. If you would have told me in August that we would narrowly miss a shot at the whole enchilada at 11-1 and I would be bummed, I would have said you were a damned fool. Almost all the Gators here are pretty pragmatic and level headed, unlike other forums, so I imagine you have already reached the following conclusion. What got dashed last night was an expectation none of us dared have until really after USCe. But when you go back to the beginning and our hopes of just pulling out a couple more games and maybe an upset our two, Muschamp and the boys far exceeded that. Hell, it looks like we are probably going to the Sugar Bowl!

I'm going to drop the what-ifs starting today. It was a helluva season, I am really proud of this group of young men and our coach, and I am stoked about the chance at a BCS game. Most of all, I am really excited about next year.

Go Gators!

After the Bowling Green game, I had predicted another 6-6 season.

Boy am I glad I was wrong!

I just hope we can win some by a bit larger margins next year. Jesus, this second half shite about did me in.

I just looked at it, and out of the top 13 teams, we beat almost a third of them. Ridiculous right there. I really do think you can make a case for us being the best one loss team in the nation. I know when you break it down into each piece, that sounds insane verses how complete Bama looks, but somehow we are greater than the sum of our parts.

I was at aTm, and I couldn't believe we came back out and played like the first half never happened.

The comeback at UT was really more epic than it will be remembered because how UT finished, but that was a big game. That was supposed to be their coming out party and we just fricking broke them after giving them a taste and destroyed their whole season.

Finally, rallying at FSU... We played one bad quarter of ball that night, and the guys never even blinked. Three very hostile away games in one season, and in all three they played like they could have given a shite about who was in the stands or being behind because they were just going to win.

I really wish we could have had one more shot at UGA, but at the end of the day, you play the hand you're dealt.

Ridiculous season.

Most frustrating 11-1 team I have ever pulled for.

Great season, better than I expected.

Future looks bright.

Go Gators!

One of my favorite seasons ever.

One of my favorite Gator teams of all time.

One statement really summed up this team:

It's not always about the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.

Florida really played tough this year, and if not for a few tough tough breaks against UGA, this team is playing for a shot at Miami this weekend.

I'm really proud of the team and am really looking forward to what Muschamp can do when the offense is reconstituted.

Go Gators!

Yeah, one of the things I like about this team is that it really pulled together as a TEAM. No stars in the spotlight, they all seemed to understand their role and played lights-out to win every game.

What an amazing coaching job this year.

I admit i got frustrated at times with this team , but no question, doing what they did to pull off wins in the second half has been something else.

It's not the prettiest, but damn, it feels good to kick arse in the second half of ballgames

I was expecting around 8-9 wins, but this has been fantastic in terms of what they've done

I guess I can appreciate the games now after looking at the season in its entirety. Most games were competitive even if it's because of offensive ineptitude. But damn-this team doesn't quit. They could've packed it in during the 4th quarter against FSU but they kept hitting and playing.

Hope our stadium is overpacked with fans next year. And with our basketball and baseball program in good shape,

After Bowling Green...didn't have much hope.

After TAMU, I thought "ok, the offense actually looks like it is an offense...not an exciting offense...but still, an offense with a "plan". No one knew, however, that TAMU was a good team.

Didn't know what to expect at Tenn. was shocked because Driskel appeared to be a "baller". D was great again. Came away thinking "definitely much improved over prior year." Still didn't know what to think about the remainder of the season. Was Tenn really as good as everyone had hyped?

Before LSU I had absolutely no idea what would happen. LSU had not looked great so I hoped we had a chance. After game still didn't know if we were for real or if LSU was having bad year.

SC...had no guess as to the outcome. Such a strange game. Defense was amazing, but the O????

And so this is how it went all season. I really never knew what to expect...very odd but there was a peacefulness to it...no stress. Even up to this last week, I really had no confidence against FSU. I also wasn't convinced we would lose...I really had no idea what would happen.

Strangest season of all time.
