Is there anywhere to find an official strength of schedule rankings for college football?

Some of you are way, way too consumed by strength of schedule issues. If it is that important, then why not just schedule four top 5 non-conference opponents, beat 2 of them, finish 8-4, and declare yourselves a top 5 team?

How else should you seperate teams with the same record that didn't play head to head? your logic is flawed in that you not only have to play the best schedule, but you have to win the games.

bdv1974 - No way I kept it. A bet is a bet.

That's basing strength of schedule on nothing more than the wins and losses of opponents which is a pretty crappy way to calculate it most people would agree. Using that method, a good cupcake opponent helps SOS much more than an average SEC opponent.

Most SOS calculations actually take into account the quality of opponents and not just their records. Sagarin has Bama at #39 I believe.

I know, right? #39 is awesome if you are on the billboard charts.

And #2 in the BCS is awesome if you want to play for a national championship.

It certainly is. It also has nothing to do with the argument.

What you're saying is that by virtue of playing a more difficult schedule Team A is better than Team B. It proves nothing of the sort.
