What's everyones thoughts on Lemonier? Everytime I see his name mentioned in the paper or online it is always followed up with "he is deciding whether or not he will be leaving early for the NFL". I mean, is he really a candidate to be drafted? I cant think of a single game this year where he looked like an NFL player or had any impact. I went to the Vandy game and it looked to me like he had shut it down, just going through the motions. Just curious of everyone elses thoughts on him.

I doubt he leaves early. I think his draft stock took a hit this year and he would maybe be a 3rd rounder. I see it as a Stanley McClover type situation and he needs another year at AU before testing the NFL waters.

His stock dropped tremendously this year.. His best bet is to stick around for his senior year. He seems like he has a good head on his shoulders, so hopefully he will stay. We'll need him next year.

His stock went from second rounder to at least fourth if you ask me. To get it back into the second round area, he will need some help on the interior defensive line or he will again look like a chump.

He can very easily get to first round status.. He didn't practice good technique this year. He seemed to always try to rush the edges and circle the lineman, and usually ran himself out of the play because of this.

Will a little coaching of arm technique and undercutting, he's a first day draft pick all day.

I'm not sure I agree with that. To this point, he has been a third down end in the NFL. A pass rush guy with a little run support. If he wants to get to the first round, I truly believe he will have to show that he can play 3 downs and be viable.

Last year Carroll took a lot of shite about drafting a pure pass rusher in the first, everyone said it was a mistake and that he reached a round too soon. That kid was an exception, not a new rule.

He would be lucky to get drafted after this season.

I don't know what Corey's problem was this year but he regressed. The speed off the edge just wasn't there consistently. I don't know if it's a coaching problem or what. I'd hate to say it's an effort problem because he's got a good head on his shoulders.

I'd like to see him back and I believe he'll be back. He's the type of DL that would tear up an NFL combine though.

My thoughts? He totally disappeared this year after the LSU game.

Just... GONE.

If he wants to leave for the NFL, best of luck, but don't let the door hitcha where the good lord splitcha.

Lemonier was an absolute FAILURE as a leader. Can anyone name ONE time this guy said or did anything to lead his team publically? I recall thinking over last summer that he was remarkably silent.

When it comes down to T'Sharvan Bell to make comments on D play, I knew we were frickED.

The only time I saw Lemonier this year was when he was helping up our interior lineman after they were pancaked.
