in the NCG, was the general consensus from most Bama fans (and I guess other fans from other schools too) that LSU fans were simply "scared" to want to face OSU rather than Bama because they felt they'd beat the Pokes handily? Because they felt playing OSU was the easy route to the crystal?

okay. what? I'm not certain that's a coherent statement/question idea thing you wrote there.

That is the truth but they like to say its cause we didn't deserve it to make them feel better. I wish we played LSU in Miami this year. That's the different In the two fanbases. We welcome a challenge while they cower.

We aren't scared of Oregon if that's what you are getting at, or Florida. A lot of us want to play Notre Dame cause of history of the two programs.

I ask this because I would always hear this time last year, "oh you were lucky to get out with a W in BDS" OR "yeah i bet you'd like to play OSU". And now, almost a year later, I see many Bama fans with the mentality that they'd rather play Notre Dame over an Oregon team who can prove they can score points. I see "We match up better with ND" a lot on here now.
FWIW, I don't think there's any shame in wanting to play a team you know your team would most likely beat. I just don't understand why last year, this was due to "being scared" and now it's "we match up better".

Some people should hit the preview button, read what they write here, realize the assumption laden, fallacy saturated bovine feces they just distilled into a series of keyboard strokes and then NOT press submit.
This goes for fans of all teams in the SEC, and elsewhere...

History of both programs claiming bogas titles ?
Sorry, I had to be "that guy" since no one else was stepping up to the plate.

You may claim "inb4", but it doesn't mean you aren't.

It had nothing to do with us being "scared". We had already beaten Bama in their house. We just welcomed a new challenge. That's why we wanted to play OSU. We knew Bama was better than OSU but we weren't scared. We just had already beaten them. Why should they get another chance? We just wanted a new challenge.
And these Gumps saying we are scared of them are just flaming. They know better. LSU fears no team. Neither does Bama. LSU is the only program that has consistently been competitive with Bama and vice versa.
