That he said the Chiefs should take Murray with the #1 pick??

WTFF

quote:

Tony Dungy got a lot of folks’ attention with his answer via Twitter to a question about whom Kansas City should take as its first pick in the NFL draft.

“I would take Georgia QB Aaron Murray if he comes out,” Dungy wrote on Monday.

Hopefully Murray listens to the hype and goes I'm no Murray hater but he's too inconsistent

And this is why he was a coach and now a commentator and never a GM. I think it is extremely rare to find anyone who is both skilled in evaluating talent and coaching. Besides Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells I can not name one guy off the top of my head who has succeeded at doing both.

Bill Belichick is probably the greatest evaluator of talent I've ever seen IMO

Not too shabby on the chalkboard either

Tony's son played with Murray at Plant High school during Murray's senior year. He is high on Murray, as he should be, cause whatever you guys think, the kid is a stud and a winner. Dungy's comments go beyond Murray's time at UGA.

What? You don't think 20oz and Chef know more about evaluating talent than an NFL HC who's won a Super Bowl? C'mon Firewind, these guys are Gods of their domain (chat rooms)

I saw on the ESPN scroll yesterday that Murray is #1 in the Nation in passing efficiency.

Surprised me.

Who do we have behind Murray that is a proven player? Mason is not proven....

Once Murray exits (whenever that is), I say open the QB situation wide and let the best DGD take the snaps. If it's Mason, then so be it. If it's Ramsey, then even better.

Murray staying next season only gives Mason one year as the "heir apparent" to the position. The problem with Mason starting for the 2014 season is that he's one and done. 2015, we're reinventing the wheel with Ramsey as the starter with his experience at mop-up guy getting garbage time in games from the previous season. The coaching staff (which I predict will be completely different in 2014 after CMR announces his retirement at the close of 2013) still has to beat the Wing-T out of Ramsey and teach him Pro set mechanics. Ramsey's a guaranteed redshirt next season.

How could the chiefs be any worse by taking murray. Murray is much better than any qb on their roster right now

My thoughts on Murray summed up via an 80's hair metal ballad.

Kinda hard to prove yourself when you never get into a ball game.

Mason is setting up to be Joe Cox part 2. Has decent talent but sat behind the more talented guy for 4 years.

I love it when guys on chat boards post attempted ridicule at other guys that post on chat boards because they post on chat boards.

Sheer genius.
