Duke or NC State?

Suppose the 16 team conference thing really happens. It has been assumed that the SEC could not pull UVA away from Duke; but suppose the Big 10 can. Then, Duke might start getting nervous that they are going to get left out. If that happens, Duke might become a real option for the SEC. Would the SEC rather have NC State or Duke?

I don't see Duke leaving the ACC as long as UNC is still there.

I'd rather have neither one to be honest.

Me neither. But suppose that UVA jumped on a Big 10 offer.

I still don't think they'd be all that concerned. They could go out and get someone like Louisville instead to fill that spot.

Will you people in the old guard of the SEC stop complaining when the SEC network starts backing a Brinks truck up the fieldhouse?

As an Auburn fan, though, I can see how you aren't thrilled with the addition of A&M.

Probably the simplest solution is to add 1 team from the western region, 1 team from the East coast, move Alabama and Auburn to the East Division and Missouri into the West Division where they belong.

NC State is the only option. Duke and NC are tied at the hip and the SEC only wants one team from NC, don't need two...

Adding UNC & VT probably won't happen, but it would be ideal.

IF the SEC adds two teams it will be either Virginia/VT and NC State.

Probably the first time I've ever agreed with you.

I think Duke + UNC would be pretty badass, but still prefer VT + UNC if possible: more markets, better football, big state school that fits the SEC model better.

A UNC/Kentucky basketball rivalry would be awesome.
