In all fairness, that earlier talk was silly. Bama should have never been mentioned as a competitor for any NFL team. Wasn't that some shite that Spurrier drummed up?

Well to be fair what he's saying is true.
Last year LSU and Bama were clearly so much better than everyone else in the country.
There just isn't a great team this year in CFB, which makes things much more interesting I think. Bama and Oregon were only perceived that way based on their weak schedules to start the season.
I still think Bama is the best team in the country though and will win the MNC.

I like Cowherd. He has his biases, but they're so obvious that I give him a pass when he's talking about them(i.e. USCw). Otherwise he's usually right on the money. Bama isn't a great team. They're a really good team. Probably the best in the country. They're just not as good as everyone was making them out to be before the loss.
