Auburn is allowing opponents to rush for 4.81 yards per rush attempt.

Bama allows 2.31 yards per rush attempt.

Now you know why one team is 10-1 and the other is 3-8.

That's probably not the only reason. Coaching is probably 90% of it, and them allowing that many yards per carry is a result of that.

It is hard to get off the field if you are giving up 5 yards per rush.

A lot of great coaches have said, if you want to win in the SEC you must be able to stop the run.

Alabama's coach is Nick Saban.

Auburn's is Gene Chizik.

You're over-analyzing. All you need to do is look at the head coaches

But Pat Dye wouldn't trade 10 Nick Sabans for one Gene Chizik.

Did Chizik win Coach of the Year in 2010?

Amazingly, Ted Roof has rehabilitated his reputation as a DC. Roof has a decimated Penn State defense ranked 30th in the country while the Porn Stache has AU at 74th in total defense.

Gus Malzahn also seems to have escaped in time.
