Is this weekend at 34 points. How many of you have them covering?

Here's some of the other largest spreads Bama has been favored by, with results:

Year: Spread, result
2011: Alabama by 21.5, won 42-14
1977: Alabama by 21.5, won 48-21
1980: Alabama by 17, won 34-18
1992: Alabama by 15, won 17-0
1979: Alabama by 15, won 25-18
2008: Alabama by 14.5, won 36-0
1978: Alabama by 14.5, won 34-16

The spread for Notre Lame game will be just as large.

Damn...it's too bad it's a short work week this week.

Means fewer gems like this one.

I think Alabama was actually favored in that game to due to being at home. Maybe like Bama +1.5 ???

Bama will not cover a 34 point spread. No way in hell. This game will be a dog fight. nothing would please them more than ruining Bamas season like Bama almost did in 2010

So 2-5 vs. the spread... Bama covers... Bet Bama, give up the points...

FYI, for some crazy reason the line has dropped to 31 to 32...

The 2010 Iron Bowl betting opened with Bama a 4.5 point favorite. I'm pretty sure the spread increased a few points by gameday.

My bad, meant -1.5, but that was a guess. 3 sounds right.

Are you comparing 2010 Alabama to 2012 Auburn?
The 2009 Iron Bowl might be a better comparision for your theory, but it's just not happening this year. Game will be well under control at halftime.

I have no idea why so many Alabama fans keep saying things like this. There's literally no objective reason to think this game will be close.

No I understand Bama had the talent to eat anyone and everyone in the nation that year and on paper Bama is light years better but there is something about his rivalry. I am just not as assured that this Bama team will handle business like it should. AJ has regressed as the season goes on behind outstanding OL play.
