Just saw that they found him safe after he was missing for 3 days. Couldn't find any info about where he was or anything.

I'm curious too but I think it's still a mystery. Rumor is mental illness. If so I hope we can get him the help he needs.

Mental illness ... sounds like a coverup to me.

I think that is a little blown out of proportion ... I haven't heard anything about mental illness.

What I have heard is that he is kind of a head case who just, for whatever reason, needs to get away sometimes. His HS friends on twitter seemed to indicate that this was something that had happened before.

That story seems to fit the events as they are currently known and doesn't indicate anything close to "mental illness".

If he has some sort of social anxiety disorder or something similar, then I bet the events over the weekend were a little too overwhelming for him as an 18 year old kid fresh out of high school. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

Yeah, heard he just beats to his own drum and really had to escape.

No details though.

I hate to speculate about stuff like that, but I lean toward agreeing with you.

The 1998 team just bust out in laughter. Those guys never met a bud strain they didn't like.

No doubt. Our players are just like any other team. I heard from a pretty reliable source that Reggie McNeal was hooked on the chronic a la HoneyBadger.

But, I think this is a case of dude needing dome time away from it all.

They are keeping it very quiet which I don't have a big problem with. The kid is an 18 YO True Freshman that won a starting job and has had a solid year. He's got ridiculous talent and was the #1 Receiver in Texas last year. That's a lot to deal with.

The most likely rumor I have heard is gf issues but he also is apparently a different kind of guy. One thing I thought was weird is his cousin is DeVante Harris that is also a True Freshman on the team and he is long time friends with several other Aggie players (several from his HS and 7 on 7 team) and he didn't tell any of them what was up.

Hope he can get it together, kid has an NFL future if he can.

Doesn't sound like he wanted to be found. I hope this kid is able to work through all of his issues. I know I was completely overwhelmed as a freshman just by going from a high school graduating class of 114 to a school of 40k. I can't imagine what pressure being on the football team adds.

Missing A&M Football Player Found Safe

According to a Dallas police report, Johnson went to a friend's house on Forney Drive and tried to leave as police officers arrived.

Dallas police blacked-out portions of the report, but the document shows that Johnson was talking about his religious beliefs. Officers transported Johnson from the house, and there is an arrest number on the report.

Dallas police can make an arrest if they feel someone is a danger to himself or others.

The department is not commenting on the case.

Thank God they found him safe, but I agree something isn't right.

I trust Sumlin to make the best decision for the kid and the team.

Possibly schizophrenia. It usually presents itself in college-aged people.
