Who the frick cares about the Big 12? The STATE of Texas produces more D1 Talent than any other state. If A&M dominates that recruiting scene and continues to gain momentum nationally we will have no problem continuing to compete at an elite level in the SEC. That is the point. A&M is about to start selecting instead of recruiting.

The spread offense is similar to the power run game in one aspect...you know what's coming at you but can you stop it. And as far as being unfair for the offense... just stop them.

The folks in Austin have blown it, no doubt there. Still they had a decade of 10 win teams. Oklahoma also rode that same gravy train. LSU has gotten more than a few as well.
Recruiting doesn't assure success. Plenty of schools can be loaded with 4 and 5 stars and suck. Still, it's ridiculous to act as though it doesn't matter. A&M's weakness right now is quality depth and a few large classes of top talent changes that in a hurry when you consider it's not like A&M is awfully solid talent wise now.
We still haven't won anything that really matters yet but it's coming. It's coming soon.

Umm, have you heard of Mike DuBose or Gene Chizik? Both had repetitive years of #1, #2, #3 recruiting classes. Wanna guess what happened?
