We already are praising him for turning a "gpa school" into a back-to-back bowl-eligible football team. They may even end up with an 8-4 record this year. This is almost unheard of for Vanderbilt fans.

On top of these accomplishments, he's currently putting together a TOP 15 recruiting class for the 2013 season! Will Franklin soon have Vanderbilt up as a worthy opponent in the SEC?

I definitely agree with this. I'll give him one more year tops before a struggling powerhouse picks him up. He may even move to one of the many openings within the SEC.

ETA: But after this post season, James Franklin will be responsible for getting Vanderbilt 2 out of its 6 bowl invitations in the 80 years Vanderbilt has been in the SEC.

Yep, currently above Tennessee(21), Ole Miss(22), Mississippi State(26), Missouri(28), Arkansas(47), and of course, Kansas(59).

He's doing a good job. Chances of them finishing 5-3 in the SEC and 8-4 overall are pretty good with Wake Forest and UT left to play. Started kinda slow and got better.

Recruiting rankings by websites really don't mean shite to the coaches, they all have their own way of evaluating players.

He was really close to beating USCeast and let one get away from him at Northwestern.

Could have been A 10 win Vandy football team.....

Yeah, I agree. I'd speculate Vandy is one of the best teams in the SEC. Anything to justify last weekend's loss.

He coached the shittiest game against Auburn when we played them. He was just lucky that our coaching staff was shittier that day. I haven't seen them play outside of that....

I love how people say this, but yet looking at the rivals top 10 list or the 247 top 10 recruiting list is like looking at a top 10 rankings list. THere is a very strong correlation to recruiting rankings to on field success.
