Is Alabamas weak schedule the reason they look so bad?

They literally played nobody all year then they rout MSU, have the greatest comeback in schools history to squeak by LSU, then get their arse handed to them by the Aggies.

What if they had to earn wins earlier in the year instead of playing such a soft schedule? Would they be in a different situation or the fact that they always been soft would have been exposed sooner?

Next year will hurt them again with such a terrible schedule. Even though they have more advantages than every other team they can't capitalize. Is this a lack of talent or is it coaching?

This was the first real test of the season, you are correct we had played nobody this season till today, and we didn't pass the test.

Just imagine if yall had played decent teams all year long. Yall would be out of the top 15 easily.

You are correct we should drop the schedule next season, and just schedule the top 10 teams the way they finish this year. Forget playing conference games just give us the top 10. Should we play them in the order of 10 - 1 or 1-10?

So that way you're beating the top ranked team every week. Duh.

True and then they can't say we took the easy way out by playing the weak part of the schedule first.

Better yet since any bama fan decides who we play, why don't we just open a poll on espn.com and let the nation vote on our schedule. We could even allow the same team to be scheduled 3 or 4 times in the same season as long as we know they will beat them Bammers arse every time.

Can't help that UM was overrated and some teams are grease fires. The truth is, Bama is very good but their defense is what everyone thought it might be before the start of the season.

I feel like crap about it, but they still win the west, make it to the SEC CG (whether they win or not, I don't know), but there are more than 100 CFB teams that wished they were 9-1.

But at the end of the day and as much as opposing fans like to roll their eyes, there's more to life -- my mom has cancer, my wife is out of work, and my job is sucking the life out of me -- I have bigger concerns.

Not sure what game you watched but that one had me a nervous wreck from 20-14 on. 'Bama never quit and scared the hell out of me.

No need to do that. Just tell Slive you were wrong for wanting Tenn as your permanent East opponent and allow an East opponent with a pulse to be put on your schedule. Then schedule one team from OOC that has a number on the side of their name that isn't from the Big 10 or Big East.

It really is about time to drop UT and rotate that spot. The only people who really remember that rivalry when it was in its hey day are close to death.

That might get you a full conference slate anyway...

I have come to respect your opinion. I really have. But can you honestly say we lost two games in two years and be okay with that knowing your schedule has been extremely weak compared to other great teams?

I ask because maybe if your defense had to show for 4 quarters more than 2-3 times a year they wouldn't look so out of it in the 4th quarter in close games.
