I realize that TN is 4-5, but their 5 losses have come against #1 ALA, #5 GA, #6 FL, #8 SC, and #21 MSU. The GA, SC and MSU games were very competitive.

What I am trying to say is that while Dooley 's tenure has been disappointing, it is not a dumpster fire like at AU or KY. His teams have gotten better, and I think he has a winning season last year if not for some crippling injuries. If he goes 7-5 are ya'll still going to make him walk the plank?

He's done a better job than Kiffin this year given the schedule, although I'm sure volfan30 will find a way to dispute that.

Dooley's recruiting is unbelievably awful, and his coaching is nonexistent. He's not far from turning Tennessee into Colorado.

I don't see how you can even argue this with a straight face. This is the best team that Dooley will ever have. His tenure is, and will continue to be, a fricking abortion.

Joker Phillips
12-23 overall 4-19 in Conf.
Derek Dooley
15-19 overall 4-17 in Conf.

He ain't far off.

IF he wins the last three, he will be 18-19 and bowl eligible and 7-17 in the SEC. He could be 19-19 with a bowl win, and he restored integrity to your program.

I don't think he is a terrible coach, he's just in over his head. He didn't have the experience to step into the UT program when Kiffin fricked them up.

That said, he's going against the best in the country and he's not ready. I think UT should give him one more year though.

This is complete nonsense on every conceivable level. Kiffin beat more SEC teams in a year than Dooley has in three. And he did so with Jonathan Crompton. Who blows. Bad.

Dooley has first round NFL talent at the skill positions and he still sucks. Imagine how bad he would suck next year if he didn't have Bray, Hunter, and CP?

Every fan of an SEC school would say this. Keep kicking UT's arse in football.

0-16 against ranked teams. 4-17 in SEC play. At a program like UT. I love talking shite about them, but that's unacceptable. Should've been gone after the UK loss.

I have been posting the same thing in all the Dooley threads. They were left in a mess by Kiffin, and it's slowly turning around, and you can see that. If they finish the season on a 4-0 run, 7-5 overall, there is no way they fire him.

However, the venom on the rant toward Dooley from UT fans is high. Honestly I don't get it. They are getting better overall. Tough schedule this year of losses, not sure if they would have done better with a 3rd year coach named Gruden.

Who were the four wins?

Shoot, who were any of the wins his whole career?

I think Vanderbilt last season was his best win in 3 seasons.
