On Bo Mattingly states:
quote:

Low: I absolutely was told Gene Chizik was not going to return next year, and I was told it would be announced during the season.

Low: I haven't heard anything out of Auburn today, but I was told it would happen at some point during the season.

Low: In a lot of ways, I think Auburn's coaching search list will look a lot like Arkansas' list.

Low: The three names I keep hearing with the Arkansas job are Patterson, Gundy & Tuberville. I think Kirby Smart might be in that group.

I would greet Tubs with open arms at this point. Anyone other than some random shitty coordinator that's but buddies with Jacobs and Gogue.

Which means he also knows Auburn is a dead end as long as Saban resides in Tuscaloosa.

Tubbs is only here if we whiff, and we aren't going to whiff

Arkansas should throw the bank at Gundy. Gundy hates T. Boone Pickens so I think he's probably looking for a way out. It would be a great hire IMO. If not him then Tubbs.

They sold their soul for a national championship. They never should have fired Tubbs to begin with. But no way in hell he goes back there even if they offered.

I will say this, the SEC is better with him around, regardless of how big of an a-hole he is.

I doubt it. He'd be fricked from the get go in recruiting. And he'd have to play Alabama every year where losing iron bowls means losing your job.

If I were Auburn I'd go with Patterson. Tubby won't come back due to bad blood and Gundy will just do to Auburn what he's done to Oklahoma State - excellent offense, crappy defense. Unless you have an All-Century type player at QB you aren't going to win anything significant in the SEC without defense.

Auburn won't hire that puppet so it's irrelevant

Don't want him around AU period.

AU is aiming MUCH higher on the coaching list, thought Ark is aiming high as well.

No shite you'd go with Patterson. So would 99.99% of our fanbase. If we hire a shitty coach, I hope Gogue enjoys seeing JH at less than half capacity for the season opener. At this point I'm ready to see his pompous, idiotic arse kicked to the curb too.
