The end of the Gruden college rumors?

It's that time of year again. With many NFL jobs possibly up for grabs at the end of the season, rumors are starting to fly that ESPN's Jon Gruden wants back into coaching.
WalterFootball.com's Charlie Campbell reports that Gruden has been looking into assistants around the NFL to see about their potential availability after the season.
Former Eagles defensive coordinator and offensive line coach Juan Castillo and Chargers special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia are both mentioned as possible hires by Gruden.
Take this report with a grain of salt, but it's worth noting Campbell broke a lot of Tampa Bay Buccaneers news over the years while working at PewterReport.com.
The report suggests Gruden is only looking for a "perfect opportunity" for a large market team or he'd be happy to stay at ESPN.
Jeremiah: Hot coaching candidates
With the coaching carousel threatening to turn, Daniel Jeremiah examines seven candidates who might be in line for jobs. More ...
There have been conflicting reports about Gruden's ability to leave his contract at ESPN, but the network has never said definitively that he can't get out of his deal.
We would fully expect Gruden and the network to deny this report if they acknowledge at all, as they have done in previous years. Campbell says Gruden has "more motivation" to return to coaching this year than in previous seasons.
There isn't always fire where there is smoke, but we don't think all these Gruden rumors just get created out of thin air.
We can expect to hear more of them in the next two months.

Gruden has about the best TV gig you can get and is making big $$ doing it. It will just be a matter of whether he still has that coaching fire burning in him. If he goes back, I think he goes back to the NFL.

He's going to the NFL because he's scared of Saban.

Please keep in mind that he was being paid by the Bucs owners while he was at ESPN for the contract he had left...which is why he didnt jump at coaching jobs because he would only get Bucs money if a coaching gig paid less than his contract with them. The television gig didnt interfere with payments he was getting from what I understand.
That money is now dried up and he will probably be looking to resume coaching...the MNF is a great gig and all...but he isnt making the $$ he did as HC at Tampa Bay. He loves the NFL and he isnt a college rah rah type at all....not saying he wouldnt be successful, but he isnt the kind of guy who is going to kiss parents azzes to get little Johnny Five Star to sign at a school.

You got a link to not making good money..the espn MNF gig is about 4 plus mil and then his stuff with AE sports is another large sum..I have seen reports that he makes in excess of 8 mil..now what college in their right mind is going to pay him that kinda money now when the highest paid college guy is making around 5 mil..the pigs and the hillbillies are wishful thinking and drawing at any straw out there.

Is kissing parents asses harder than kissing the arse of whiney 20 something year old guys who are instant millionaires, have been idolized their whole life, and have egos bigger than Texas? IDK, but I'd say the college kids are easier to handle.
