Thankfully it's a moot point now, but whose fault was that?

A)Bad placement by AJ
B)Failure to secure by TJ
C)A combo of both

I ask because I've heard multiple sources basically lay blame on Yeldon. However, I always thought the RBs should have eyes up looking ahead and its the QBs responsibility to place the ball in the middle of the pocket created by RBs open arms.

It's on AJ. The RB is to create a "pocket" for the ball. Ball side arm is up, opposite arm is low. Ball side arm is mid chest, opposite arm is just below belly button. QB's job is to place ball between bottom of shoulder pads and top of opposite side arm. RB's job is to "clamp" the ball with eyes up field.

AJ placed ball on TJ's upper inside hip. It was about 6 inches from where it needed to be.

Thanks
That's what I thought, too.

I've heard experts from ESPN and JOX radio to arm chair QBs at work and TD all refer to it as "Yeldon's fumble."

Usually fumble is attributed to the last ball carrier to have it. Most QB/RB exchanges that result in fumbles do so with the the RB being the last person to have the ball (use the phrase "have the ball" loosely). It likely went down as TJ's fumble in stat sheets, but I am certain it was labeled as AJ's fumble after the staff watched film.

I agree with what Danielson said. He said that it was A.J.'s job to put the ball in TJ's belly. He also mentioned that it looked like A.J. was too worried about carrying out a good fake and that's what likely caused the bad exchange....JMO.

And am I the only one that thought there was a HUGE hole with room to score on that play?

No. Barrett Jones even commented on it.

My grandmother could have scored on that play.

Now that theres a little traffic through here, ill ask yall this.

Did anyone catch Sabans in the Monday presser when talking about our upcoming home game vs Tamu, he slipped and said "Tiger stadium" instead of BDS?

I heard that. He didn't seem to even realize he had said it. There was a thread on the Rant about it with LSU fans basically getting a warm, wet feeling because it meant Saban's heart was still with them.

I must have missed that.

Intentionally brought it up within a thread-instead of starting a specific thread on the topic-in hopes of avoiding calling attention to it from other fan bases

Believe me...it got PLENTY of attention on the Rant. And the butt hurt LSU fans were having an all out circle jerk with it.

It was AJ low and left on his hip.

I don't care if Nick renames BDS to Tiger Stadium as long as he stays here!
