SEC won that negotiation.

PS -- total payout to SEC & Big XII is ... $80 Million

It'll still be called the Sugar, right? Champions = lame.

So much better than Dallas. Glad the SEC stayed loyal.

Great news. NOLA kills Dallas and although Jerry's World is nice, the atmosphere blows.

okie state and Texas Tech aren't exactly the best fans. Don't feel bad at least they probably sold their allotment. aTm couldn't even do that against us and it ended up being kinda lame everywhere except the arkansas side.

happy about this, even though for A&M DFW is closer

Eff the Big 12, all of whom are closer to DFW than NO

Doesn't matter, aTm won't be winning the league anytime soon

Sucks to see the cotton bowl game more and more marginalized, but this doesn't surprise me at all. I'm glad beyond anything else that they're adopting an old brand name for the new game rather than actually having "the champions bowl".

It would be nice in years where the novo Sugar Bowl hosts a playoff game for the Cotton Bowl to take its place as the first pick after playoff games.

Given how much money Jerry is pouring into the game, I wouldn't be too surprised to see it take the place of the Capital One Bowl in the pecking order or at least move up on par with it, and considering how much the sellout name bowls (Capital One, Chick-Fil-A, BWW, etc) annoy me, it would make me happy too.
