So Bama was beat for 58 minutes?

I keep seeing/reading how LSU had Bama beat for 58 minutes. If I recall correctly, wasn't the score 7-3 Bama, just before it was 14-3 at half time? How is it that Bama only managed to win 2 minutes of the game, when that two minutes only gave them a third of their total points?
I think LSU fans are making way too much of their performance in this game. Sure they moved the ball more on Bama than other teams have done in recent history, and it put the Tide on the ropes, but this whole "58 minutes" crap needs to stop.

All I know is BAMA NATIONAL and aj MCCANNON straight dominated when the game mattered. Then Mettsenberger came in with that deer in the headlights look and crapped the bed.

Which championships do we claim that we shouldn't? 1964? We lost our bowl game but we still won the awards. 1973? We lost the bowl but still won an award.
Pre-AP titles? Fair enough....but please tell schools like Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, etc. to drop their claims to titles pre-AP. Hell...USC just started claiming 1939 as a national championship year eight years ago.

I agree. All the " we dominated" , "we should have won" is crap. We were up 14-3 at halftime and allowed LSU back in the game until it was put up or shut up time.

No I think your making to much out I your win. You should shut up and feel thankful that you got away with one. Instead your acting like you knew you would win and like u dominated or something. LSU whipped your arse on the field just not on the scoreboard. DWI

What are you talking about? Almost all of us are saying it was a great game. LSU played its arse off. The game and atmosphere were rediculous and Bama won in the end when it counted.

Regardless of the score, Bama was on wobbly legs for 58 minutes, only to score the KO punch in the 12th and final round.

well, at the half bama led in points, yards (both passing and rushing), and was within 5 minutes of lsu in time of possession. it wasn't until the 4 straight 3 and outs that things got out of hand. bama won the 1st half.

Bama won the 1st half, LSU won the second half.
Bama got a TD in the half they lost, while LSU got a FG in the half they lost. Difference in the game.
