For LSU it instilled confidence in the coaches, fans, and most of all Mett in his ability, Maybe now they will open it up for him throughout his career.

For Bama this wasn't the same team that played Florida, Auburn, or South Carolina. Maybe this game will prove to the Bama players and staff that they can win in any enviroment no matter how the odds are stacked against them.

Just watched the game the 2nd time, and I had the same emotions, what a game. That game was the resson Miles teams scare the shite out of me.

I was a neutral party, and I was very drunk, but I really enjoyed watching this one. It was a great ballgame.

I cannot even begin to describe how well Mettenberger played. I really hope he has turned the corner. He looked outstanding.

I think most of us, LSU and Bama fans included, were shocked by Mett's play last night. I'm hoping it is a forecast for the future.

Two best programs in the country. Last 6 regular season games decided by a total of 6 points. Doesn't get much better than that.

I think this team was similar to the one that played USCeast...we executed a little better, but on similar play calls.

I think the best thing to come out of this, is the fact that Trai Turner and Vidal Alexander have a minimum of two years of anchoring that o-line on the right side. we shut out USC and Bama on that side of the line and ran it that way almost at will each game. That aside from Mett getting his rhythm. Hopefully, each of those stay in place.

I would like to know the thoughts from the visiting recruits on LSU's sideline for that game.

For Bama

it created a whole new cadre of UA fans which is really what we need.

On a serious note though

This might be very helpful if it's UA/UGA in ATL and Georgia comes out hot, for sure.

He'll stay for 2013 and this is good news. The WR's took receiving practice a little more serious it appears plus the the freshmen on OL did a great job. Hopefully club will finish well and carry it into 2013.

He did.

Part of me wonders if he will continue what we saw or if this is just him playing the game of his life... Similar to Garcia against Bama 2010 or McElroy against UF 2009.

I'm wondering the same thing too and waiting to find out the answer.

Mett looked like a seasoned vet just going through the motions at times. It was scary how good he was. I was sitting waiting on a mistake from him and it never came. If anyone thinks that Bama will see a qb or d as good as that the rest of the year they are sadly wrong

Don't hurt me, but I think you guys needed to be tested more before stepping into that buzz saw last night. I know scheduling is not your fault, but you guys finally got tested for 60 minutes. I said going into the game that if it was close in the 4th we would win and I was wrong.

What this game reminded me of. Sometimes quarterbacks get hot, and there is little you can do.

This. I don't see how anyone can say that there is a better matchup. Last night was college football at its finest, and the National Championship imo

I see you've never interacted with most of our fan base.

But good post, I agree.
