I don't think it will end up being a down year for corners. I think Toliver is as talented as anyone that's come out of HS recently.
But cornerback is really tough to evaluate, and guys that just finished their sophomore years of HS don't exactly have a lot of film to break down compared to the more galmour positions.
He'll move up, as will other CBs in the class, as more film gets out and more camps happen. He held his own against Ermon Lane at one of the camps they were at together, and we all know how good Lane is.

But ya, the top corner being ranked 33 is low. Sandkhan made a good point in the bama thread, corner is a position that takes some time to master and as these kids get older they will get better.

If I have to explain your weak attempt to minimize a rival getting a huge committment to you, then you are already too far gone.

He said the whole CB class is down, so wouldn't Bama recruits fall into that category as well?
He's not commenting on Toliver committing to LSU, he's commenting on the number one CB in the class being the number 33 overall players.
