Seems like a lot of people on here think Les' and the coaches' decisions cost the players a win tonight. Is this the overall feeling for LSU fans?

No. Despite the calls, the team was still in position to win at the end.

Not an LSU fan, but there is no question his decisions are what prevented them from winning the game. They were all poor and cost them points and valuable field position.

No. Great game. Bama made great plays on the last drive.

Les took points off the board. There's no denying that. The FG attempt from 54 was pretty questionable and ended up giving Alabama great field position to start their TD drive to end the half.

He had some head-scratchers, but execution could have been better.

Playing soft at the end did, both on offense and defense. LSU went way from what was working for them at crucial times.

The coaches decision to go into prevent D the last drive after stopping bama all of the 2nd half lost us the game

This team played aggressive and was focused. Les didnt control the stupidity of Copeland on that penalty. Likewise on that drive killing sack.

Miles brought them here. Sometimes he makes a mistake. I think he made more than one tonight. But his feel for the game works to LSU's advantage almost always.

Sometimes it doesn't. Tonight was one of those nights.

Still happy with this team and our coach.

His worst call of all was to kick it on 4th and 5 and give Alabama the ball back either way.

No. He called an aggressive game, which is what we needed. He took some chances that did not work out, but the way we had played all year on offense, the chances made sense. Then, in the second half, the offense gets rolling and he called a more conventional game. I was glad he did what he did. It just didn't work out.

Still confused about the prevent defense at the end of both halves. We gave up 14 points doing that.

LSU was outcoached.

It's basically the reverse of the game the two teams played last year. One outplayed the other, but lost for other reasons.

Welp when you dominate in just about every aspect of the game and lose its only one place to point the blame. Not saying i want to see Miles fired but he had a couple of bad decisions that came at the wrong moments tonight.

You can criticize some risky plays plays that didn't work.

However, can you say that Miles aggressive calls weren't a key factor in LSU playing far and away their best game of the season?

Hard to separate the two.

the main call that was questionable was the fake. lets assume we kick the field goal and make it. we're up by 6 when bama gets the ball with a minute left and we end up losing by 1 instead of 4.

defensively, we had been playing a bunch of man free with tight coverage for 29 minutes of the second half. if we play tight man with 2 over the top instead of soft man then we might win but who the hell knows.
