AUBURN, Alabama – Coach Gene Chizik sounded like a man who plans to be on the Auburn sidelines next season when he mapped out part of the 2013 depth chart during his Tiger Talk radio show Thursday night.
"We feel like, down the road, meaning next year, we'll have the Jordan Diamonds of the world back, the Avery Youngs of the world back and the Westernmans and so on, that we're really going to feel good about having a very good two-deep there," Chizik said.

Oh man, I thought they might actually get rid of that guy. Good to hear he's there for the long run.
ETA: hypothetically speaking, if he does get fired he more than likely doesn't know it yet so he has to speak as if he'll be the coach next year

I've been saying this all along. You can't fire a coach this quickly after one bad year. He won the 'ship for fricks sake.

I don't like him but I also hate Auburn.
2 wrongs make it right?
Would he have won it without Newton though? Doubtful. I almost pity Auburn at this point.

He's gone. That's typical Chizik coach speak.

On his coach speak? I've never liked that. He's never been straight up in a presser.

Doubtful is entirely too generous. It would have been impossible. It wouldn't have happened.
There were about 6 games that year that they were in danger of losing WITH cam, including some that came down to the final few minutes (and 1 in OT I believe). Without cam they don't win the west and might've lost 3-4 games.

If Chizik is back I won't buy my student tickets, and my family will almost certainly give up the seats we've had in JH for over fifty years. I can't describe how pissed I am at the shape our athletic department is in. We're #3 in the SEC in athletic spending and #10 in performance over the past six years.
