I agree that Gruden will not be the next coach but Long has really not interviewed anyone. I have a feeling it will be like last time. We will not know who the coach is until they are on a plane and headed to Fayetteville.

What do you expect him to do? Hey Gary i know your in the middle of the Big 12 grind right now but how about we interview you for the job?
You need to understand, Jeff has a list that he wants, people are talking to agents and coaches gauging intrest, and after the season things will get started.
People who are looking for breaking news right now aren't going to get it unless its Butch Davis and personally i am glad that isn't happening. It will be end of november first of december before anything starts rolling.

Coaches who are worth their chalk are not going to interview.
There will be no interviews.
Long will be on a plane in Stillwater with the contract in hand and Gundy will board, sign, fly out of Stillwater in the black of night and land just south of campus.

I can live with that. I still think we're seeing a lot of smoke and mirrors.
Gruden is out, can't believe some still believe he has already signed and wants to announce by Long won't make the announcement.

exactly, what is their interview? There will be phone calls for sure to see if a coach is on the same page as Long, but guys who make $3M + a year don't interview.

And I would be a very happy man. I think Gundy is the better hire than Patterson;; just my opinion of course. If it ends up being Patterson, I'd be fine with it.
