According to cfb stats, Les Miles is 1-3 in games vs. #1 ranked teams while at LSU.

Jan 2008, LSU defeated #1 ranked Ohio State in the BCSCG 38-24.

In 2008, LSU lost @ #1 ranked FL 51-21.

In 2009, LSU lost to #1 ranked FL 13-3 in Tiger Stadium at night.

In 2010, LSU lost @ #1 ranked AU 24-17.

Here's to his record falling to 1-4.

I do note that only one of these games was a night game at Tiger Stadium, and that game vs. Florida (after Tebow had a concussion) snapped a 32 consecutive game winning streak LSU had involving night games at Tiger stadium..

That started after Alabama blanked LSU 31-0 in 2002.

That's when Franchione said "I guess we know the best in the west is? or some such thing. Adios to that guy.

How is posting a coach's record a flame attempt?

I did not comment on or criticize his record. I thought some people might be interested in his record against #1 ranked teams, since he is playing one this weekend.

Why would this be a flame?

considering that you 2 of those were from 08 and 09, this is a really shitty flame. Those were 2 dark years for LSU and Miles couldn't have done shite

At best. 2008 and 2009 the club was 17-9...lost to a lot of teams. 2010 was a one score loss to undefeated AU as visiting team.

#1. So it's 1-4 against #1 teams. Not surprising....teams are usually ranked #1 for a reason. Doubt many coaches have even a "good" record vs #1 teams.

You always start threads flaming LSU

This is nothing new. The thread contributed nothing.

A much better measurement is how a club does against teams using their final ranking. If a team is #2 at 3rd game, beaten, and finishes 7-5...does it really matter?

I'm surprised he's played 4 number 1 teams seeing as how LSU is usually ranked #1.
