LSU fans, do you think he has now devloped into the player you thought he would be when he was recruited?

I remember he was committed to A&M for a while and a lot of Aggies thought he would be the savior of our secondary. I don't really hear much about him now, although he does seem to hit pretty well in the little bit that I have watched of him in the past couple of years.

Just now starting and injury free. I like him a lot now. Really improved.

He's better but he's still just okay/good. He's not elite.

He's okay. Not a game changer.

serviceable player by LSU defensive standards. i actually really like Ronald Martin as far as the future for safety.

He's the last person on earth you would want to meet if you have the ball on a reverse or toss sweep.

That said, he's not too hot in pass coverage.

honestly we really could use him. Safety is by far our weakest spot and having just a serviceable player would do wonders for our defense. So while maybe he was overrated, it's still a huge recruiting miss for us imo

Yeah, he's one of those guys that while not elite, would at least provide quality to us. Defensive secondary may be our worst unit on both sides of the ball in the past decade.

He's really good at being the last guy in on a tackle and making close to no one-on-one plays be it a tackle or a pass breakup ever.

Loston isn't a tenth the player we expected.

Has been solid. We have some idiots in our fan base who will never warm up to certain players but they can be ignored. He has been solid this year.

Fair enough. He isn't a liability.

LSU has had ridiculous safety play with Landry, Steltz, Taylor, Reid, etc that the standard is high, but Loston is playing very well this year.

Finally healthy.

I do think LSU fans have been absolutely spoiled when it comes to safties, really just DB's in general. So it's hard to distinguish Loston as a disappointing player or not. Yes, he has played slighly above average but no he's not the 5-star stud he was supposed to be. Eric Reid kind of took over that billing.

Loston:

-injured a lot
-hits really hard
-liability in coverage
-wants to kill the ball carrier

No, he's been awful in coverage this year.

He's a decent safety but definitely not playing like other 5 star safeties. Chavis wanted to move him to LB ala hatcher.

He spears head first way too much instead of wrapping up. His backup, Martin, is better than him imo.
